ZooLand
Our Zoo houses and our Zookeeper cares for over 20 different species of wild, exotic animals during the Park's open season. Some of them you can pet and feed. One of our Zoo's main attractions is the Bear Feeding that happens four times a day. Guests can watch one of the zookeepers play, interact with and feed the baby Black Bears their bottles and food.
The zookeeper will answer any questions you may have about these fuzzy, playful, curious, and always hungry bears, even though they are well fed during their time with us. They pack on about 120 pounds each while in our care.
Visitors will discover two Macaws that are about 35 to 40 years old named Paco and Skittles and they like to interact and talk to you. Sometimes they just like to squawk!
Other animals include the Black Bears, of course, different Deer, Sheep, and Goats. A Camel and Porcupines from Africa, Kangaroos from Australia, Patagonian Cavies, Ringtailed Lemurs from Madagascar, Capuchin Monkeys, A Bengal Tiger from India, Serval cat from South America, and Siberian Huskies. Lots of Chickens! Some with funny hairdos! Coatamundies and so curious and fun! Japanese Koi in Whitebeards Lake and some various free-roaming Ducks. Huge Magalitza Pigs, Peacocks, and more!
The Zoo is an educational experience as you teach your young ones about the different animals that grace our planet!
The Zookeepers are a busy guy!!!
During their time with us, the animals that are in our care throughout the season are well fed, with species-specific, well-balanced nutritious diets of specialized feeds and meats, fruits, vegetables, and grains needed for their care, development, and growth during their time with us.
All animals are checked on periodically throughout the day and we have veterinarian services available anytime for any animal needing it.
We utilize a pressurized water-lick system in our pens for a 24-hour freshwater supply for our animals.
